Melissa has been a member of the LAWO team for 14 years. Melissa has gained experience as a Pro Bono Director since 2013 and worked as both an Americorps attorney and a staff attorney for LAWO prior to becoming a manager as LAWO’s Pro Bono Director. As a seasoned legal aid attorney, she is passionate about advancing justice by balancing the scales of justice to ensure all individuals are given fair legal representation regardless of their ability to pay.

Melissa is a proud graduate of Manchester University (B.A. 2002), and the Ohio Northern Pettit College of Law (J.D. 2005). She is an active member of the Hancock, Sandusky and Seneca County Bar Associations and is the chair of the Legal Aid Services Committee of the Hancock County Bar Association. Outside of the office, Melissa enjoys staying active in her community with volunteer work, serving as a mentor and tutor, and spending time with her two sons.
