Debra has been a member of the LAWO team for five years. Before joining LAWO, Debra worked at LAWO’s partner law firm, Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. for ten years as a supervising attorney and managing attorney. Debra is passionate about access to justice issues and advocating for the rights of older adults. She is committed to building capacity to serve client communities by leveraging technology and creative, accessible technology solutions.

Before joining the legal services community, Debra worked for twenty years in private practice where, after a wide variety of experiences, she focused her practice on issues affecting older adults. Debra is a proud graduate of Fairfield University (B.A. 1980) and New York University School of Law (J.D. 1983). A New Yorker at heart, Debra found a home in Toledo where she and her husband raised four sons. She enjoys reading, travelling and the great outdoors.
